OK mom...was this taken just south of San Francisco? Rachel says she remembers going to look at a ship pretty close to shore, but can't remember why it was there...what do you remember???
It was Half Moon Bay...and the ship was in a salvage-dispute situation just offshore, and it was coldddd! So, the shawl for her head..the ship (a photo in my 'pile' somewhere, was picturesque, and I THINK Grampa took this one too, but don't remember. Anyway, a piece of history and a 'classic portrait' moment.
