Thursday we spent the day with Rachel's family. Ate and watched football. Their lake is filling up, so I tried a little fishing also. It is nice to be able to spend a little time with family.

Yesterday we went to the Gulf for a family outing. We have not taking the time to go since we have been here, and we are scouting out places to go camping. We went to Matagorda yesterday. Many Texas beaches you can drive on. Most people there were fishing, not playing in the water. Probably because it was not a hot day, and there are not many waves there. Water was still 66 degrees, while not hot, still warmer than the Pacific in the Summer. Each of the kids took a friend, and mostly they played on the Kayaks. I spent most of the day running back into town (30 miles each way) getting new tires. We had a blowout and ripped up a tire on the way there. Not the most fun I have had on a family trip, but the kids had a good time.
