A Call for Recipes....

Hello Family... For Christmas this year, I am doing a little family history project in the form of a family cookbook. When I was in California for Thanksgiving Grandma Jo gave me an old recipe box from Great Aunt (or great-great aunt?) Ellie that had several old recipes. I had a blast trying to read her old handwriting and pulling out the recipes I wanted to try. Along with those recipes, I know that each family has special meals, memories, and traditions that I would love to share with the rest of the family. One of my favorite hobbies is cooking-- What a wonderful way to bring the spirit of family into our home despite the distance between us! Here is what I need from you:

- Within the next 2 weeks, email me your favorite recipes. They can be appetizers, main courses, side dishes, breads, candy, cookies, pies, sauces...anything goes.

- Don't forget to include where you got the recipe and what memories or traditions you have associated with that recipe. I know in our family, my mom's cinnamon rolls were a much requested breakfast food for birthdays and holidays! I think I called her a millions times when I was in college to get the recipe.

- If you can think of any picures of your family you might want included, please email those to me as well. I am going to try and get a photo family tree compiled for the front of the cookbook as well.

- Let me know how many you might want to buy-- the price for printing will probably be no more than $12 each but I am hoping to find a better deal. If I have an estimated quantity, I can get a more accurate price quote.
